One Suitcase. One Purpose. Meaningful Connection.
Help support women entrepreneurs in Botswana — and receive a handmade item, packed with purpose.
Hi, I’m Brockton.
For the past few months, I’ve been living in northern Botswana, working alongside women who are building businesses with their hands and their hopes — weaving baskets from grass, making paper from unlikely materials, shaping something lasting from what’s close at hand.
Along the way, I’ve realized that the most valuable thing I have to offer right now is surprisingly simple: the space in my suitcase.
This project is a simple idea.
With your help, I’ll fill that space with things made by women I know and admire — gifts with purpose and story — and carry them home to people who want to be part of something good.
I’ll fill that space with a gift for you, directly from the local community makers.
Half of each donation goes directly to the maker. The rest helps cover tools and materials — and in many cases, that support can be matched or multiplied by local partners already working on the ground.
There’s only one suitcase. Only one trip.
Let’s see how far it can go.
SPACE IN MY LUGGAGE IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. IF THIS SITE IS UP, THERE IS STILL SPACE IN MY LUGGAGE.
You Donate
Pick a tier that fits your budget — each one comes with a handmade gift and a story.
I Fill My Luggage
I’ll purchase beautiful items directly from local artisans.
You Receive Your Gift
When I return home, I’ll send or hand deliver your item.
These women already have talent, knowledge, and drive. What they don’t have is capital. Just a few dollars’ worth of supplies can make a huge difference.
Half your donation supports the artisans directly.
The other half supports the tools and supplies they need to grow.
By funding both the makers and their next step, you’re creating a cycle of opportunity.
It’s not just a basket — it’s a livelihood. It’s not just paper — it’s a purpose.
